Maps & Survey

Thank you very much for attending this month’s public meetings for the Knox County Greenway Corridor Study. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and ideas about greenways.

Click on the links to the maps and the survey. Since the public meetings, we have added an online mapping tool that allows you to make comments and draw suggestions. The website also now includes an online survey that replicates the “dot” voting boards at the public meetings.

If you have a chance, please share the website and online tools with family, friends, and neighbors. We are always interested in gathering additional comments.

The project schedule calls for a second round of public meetings in the early fall. We will send an announcement as we get closer to that time.

Again, thank you for attending the public meetings.

See you on the greenways,

  1. I am all in favor of the greenways, but because they are expensive and take a long time to become reality, I have one other suggestion. I live in the Kensington neighborhood off Northshore. Our neighborhood is directly adjacent to at least 3 other neighborhoods, but there is no pathway of any type connecting the neighborhoods. Creating several 100′-300′ connectors through side yards or vacant lots would be a cheap and easy way to open up safer bike and walking paths while keeping people off the busy streets.
